CONSIDER A DONATION:

As part of this event, the foundations of both Rotary Clubs have agreed to match the first $1,000 of donations to PolioPlus. These funds will then be sent to Rotary International Foundation where they will be matched 2 to 1 by the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation.  So each dollar donated will be leveraged to nine dollars. Attached is a QR Code that can be used to make a donation to PolioPlus through the ASR Foundation. This link https://www.paypal.com/donate/PolioPlus may also be used.

Overview of activities in the past month:

(1) We have received a membership application from Lorie Gillis, Arvada City Manager.  If there are no objections she will be inducted at our regular meeting Tuesday, November 7th.

(2) This past Thursday morning Mike and John met with representatives of the other Arvada service clubs. This included the Arvada Rotary noon club, Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis, Arvada Optimist, and Arvada Lions. This was an inaugural meeting intended to bring together local service clubs and explore the possible opportunities to pool resources and manpower.

(3) Our FOURTH bench is now complete! It resides at Apple Meadows Park

(4) Received 1000's of children's books from this year's 'Whale of Sale' for SCOPE (pictures below)
