	Student of the Month	Jan 17, 2012	Daniel Flores Pomona High. Daniel is a 3.8 student who plays football as a 240 pound lineman. He is the team captain. he helpsas a coach of a Little league team. he's interested in a career in a medcally related field.

	Erv Zimmer	Jan 17, 2012	Erv told us about his 20 years in military service and after. He worked as a Nurse Anesthetist. After retiring he and his wife have travelled widely.

	Student of the Month Pomona High	Nov 15, 2011	Jessica Zanon is active in National Honor Society.She has worked on the Race for the Cure,Rock and Roll Marathon,Trick or Treat Street and the Home and Garden Show.She is in the Pomona Arts and Humanities program, interested in visual arts.She plays softball. She will be a conselor At the Outdoor Lab School.

	Student of the Month Arvada High	Nov 15, 2011	Maren Blair is in the NAOS honors program. A musician, she's a violinist, first chair in the orchestra. She runs cross country. She's a peer mentor for incoming freshmen. She's interested in a career in medicine.

	Paul Harris Fellow	Nov 15, 2011	Jim Record was congratulated by Paul Danborn as the newest Paul Harris Fellow. His contribution to Rotary International will support Rotary good works world wide. There are now 20 Paul Harris Fellows in Arvada Sunrise Rotary.

	Senior Hero Wally White	Nov 8, 2011	Wally and his wife Sylvia were guests of ASR. Wally was honored for his contributions as a volunteer at the Community Recreation Center. He helps at the cardio-weight suite. He teaches Aarp Drivers Safety classes. He helps those with lowered eyesight at the Center.

	Arvada Sun Rise Rotarians and friends backpacking	Nov 3, 2011	Every Thursday morning backpacks are filled for distribution to students at Swanson Elementary School.

	Paul Harris Fellow	Oct 25, 2011	Patrick Thiessen is the newest of our Paul Harris fellows. He added to the Rotary International Foundation through his fund raising efforts by running a 100 mile race.

	Student of the Month Arvada High	Oct 18, 2011	Kinsasha Zamora has a 3.65 GPA. She's active in her Yearbook production. Activities include Cross Country, track and Field and Peer Mentor. She would like to have a career in Law. She's learning to use braille.

	Student of the Month Pomona High	Oct 18, 2011	Crystal Murphy Is a member of the Poms Spirit team. Hercommunity service includes helping Pee Wee cheerleaders,and helping with the holiday Santa. She plans to become a professional in a medical field.

	Speaker	Oct 18, 2011	David Rush told ASR members about the updates in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. He demonstrated the features of the automatic defibrillator. He encouraged us to become familiar with CPR.

	ASR members and friends prepare for the Caper	Oct 1, 2011	Twenty hardworking volunteers worked to prepare the beautiful Roth Distributing showroom for the 2011 Food and Wine Caper. The caper is the only fundraiser for the club. Thanks to John Thielen.

	Youth Night at Memorial Park	Aug 10, 2011	ASR members helped with the festivities as the City provided the neighborhood with activities for the very young,and for the older citizens. There were bicycles to ride,hula hoops,an inflated castle,an Army Humvee under the command of a Sergeant, and a beautiful fire truck to admire. The Girl Scots and Boy Scouts were there telling youngsters about membership.
