Wanted: Used Crutches, Canes, Wheelchairs and Walkers!

October Crutches4Africa Drive!!

Arvada Fire and Arvada Sunrise Rotary Club are partnering with Crutches 4 Africa to provide used crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs to Africans lacking mobility.

Unfortunately, many American standards discourage re-use and re-distribution of crutches following recovery from an injury. Such mobility devices often end up in our garages, sheds, attics, and landfills.

Donating your unwanted mobility devices can have a major impact on the lives of Africans who would otherwise lack mobility. Your donated item(s) can provide self respect, health, dignity and hope to Africans in need.

All eight of our Arvada fire stations will serve as collection points for your unwanted mobility devices during the month of October. Simply drop off your unwanted mobility devices at your nearest fire station and volunteers will handle the rest. Items in disrepair are also accepted, as working components can be utilized to repair other donated mobility devices.
