Kenya SCOPE - Book Drive Update

Hi, Folks......To those of you stalwart people dutifully reading our narratives, this one is the finale!  Actually, we arrived home last Monday and have been reentering ever since. But we do want to share our last Kenya days with you, entice you if possible.

We've heard from people in Kenya, have begun meeting about libraries, visited our Transgroup warehouse, and are taking aim for the 60 requested libraries for 2010. It's lovely here in Colorado, harbingers of spring are peeking out in every nook, and we're looking for volunteers to help us with the books drives.

If you live outside of CO and have a book source, please, go for it. We'll get Transgroup to work with us for shipping to CO, or if you have a serious load, then call us and we'll consider options. (303-940-2502).  And if you wonderful people live in this area would you be willing to donate some time to this project - even an hour is great.

We're hoping to ship in June, so volunteering is not a long stint and our job needs are diverse - tailored to meet your unique personality and talent - guaranteed! PS...We're having a Book Drive "Happy Hour" this Tuesday/ 4-20 at our place. We know - late notice, but, hey, we're seniors so don't give us too much grief. The "HH" begins at 6; we'll give you info on doing a book drive and answer questions while you munch and sip - only an hour. Call us if you can come; we'll give you the directions if needed.
